The biggest one is in the game, Attain takes over a month to fall. In the novel, information technology only takes a few hours (700 Covenant ships versus 300 UNSC ships plus xx SMAC platforms...to even stand a chance of winning, the UNSC needs to outnumber the Covenant at least 3 to 1 in ships)

I haven't read the new edition of TFoR, but my understanding is that MAC rounds are at present 300 tons (instead of 600) and movement at 120,000km/s (instead of 30) co-ordinate to it. Also, the already ridiculously calorie-free 8000 ton destroyers now counterbalance in at 4000 tons.
